全球传播系前身为对外传播部，成立于2021年6月，立足传媒行业，致力于培养具有全球视野和人文情怀，扎实的理论知识和较强的跨文化传播能力，较强的国际交流能力和中国文化对外传播能力的复合型人才。
全球传播系目前设有1个传播学（中外合作办学）专业，拟开设国际新闻与传播专业。传播学（中外合作办学）是浙江传媒学院与新西兰惠灵顿维多利亚大学联合举办的中外合作办学本科项目，于2021年获得教育部批准（批准书编号：MOE33NZ2A20212134N）。目前该专业设有两个专业方向：国际传播、跨文化传播，采取3+1培养模式，截至至2024年已招生4届，共有在校生310余名。首批选择3+1的学生已于2024年7月前往维大继续第四学年的学习。维大平均每学年派送超17人次专业师资力量教授外方课程，并建立了国内国际、线上线下协同教学平台，中外合作教育成效显著。
全球传播系师资力量雄厚。现有教职工19人，其中教授2人，副教授7人，讲师10人；博士后1人，博士15人，博士在读1人；具有海外留学背景的教师10余人；10余名教师担任浙传硕士生导师。我系教师具有较强的科研实力，研究方向涉及国际传播、跨文化传播、影视传播、中国故事全球传播、媒体话语、新媒体传播等，主持国家级、省部级和厅局级等各类项目20余项，在SCI、SSCI、A&HCI等国际期刊及国内核心和各级期刊发表论文30余篇，出版专著和教材10余部。
此外，全球传播系建立了产学研合作平台和行业实践基地，与企业紧密互动，积极推动学科成果转化为生产力。师生共同组成了科研与实践团队，参与了省市级多项竞赛及社会服务活动，取得了显著成绩和良好声誉。
The Department of Global communication, formerly known as Department of Internationalcommunication, was founded in June 2021. Based on the media industry,it devotes to cultivate students of comprehensive abilitieswho are supposed to have a global vision and humanistic passion, solid theoretical knowledgeandstrong intercultural communication ability, strong international communication andoverseas transmission of Chinese cultureabilities.
At present, the Department of Global Communication has one Communication major (Sino-foreigncooperation), and plans to offerInternational Journalism and Communication major. The major of Communication (Sino-foreigncooperation) ismanaged by a Sino-foreign cooperation undergraduate program jointly organized by Communication University of Zhejiang and Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. It was approved by the Ministry of Education in 2021 (Approval No.:MOE33NZ2A20212134N).Currently itsetstwo majors: international communication andintercultural communicationin 3+1 model, andhas enrolled students for 4 batches, more than 310 students till the academic year of 2024-2025. The first batch of students to choose 3+1 have gone to Victoria University to continue their study in the fourth academic year in July 2024. TheVictoria University has sent more than 17 professional teachers to teach foreign courses every academic year, and established a domestic and international, online and offline collaborative teaching platform, which has achieved remarkable results ininternational cooperative education.
The Department of Global Communication has a strong teamwith20 staff members, including 2 professors, 7 associate professors, 10 lecturers, 1 postdoctoral fellow, 17 doctors, 1 doctoral student;more than 10teachers with overseaseducationbackground; more than 10 teachers serve as master supervisors ofCommunication University of Zhejiang. Our staffhave strong research strength,withwide range of research interests such as international communication, cross-cultural communication, film and television communication, global transmissionof Chinese stories, media discourse, andnew media communication, etc.They have hostedmore than 20research projects at national, provincialandmunicipal level, and more than 30 papers in SCI, SSCI, A&HCI, CSSCIjournals andjournalsof other levels as well as10works and textbookshave been published.
In addition, the Department of Global Communication has established an industry-university-research cooperation platform and an industry practice base to closely interact with enterprises and actively promote the transformation of disciplinary achievements into productive forces. Teachers and students have formed scientific research and social practice teamsparticipated in a number of provincialand municipal competitions andsocialservice work, havingachieved remarkable resultsand gaining good fame.
